Ingredients

Serves 4

28cm round cake or flan tray or baking dish 20x30 cm

200g Cooked Barilla Spaghetti
6 Eggs
125ml Milk
150g Cubed ham or roasted bacon bits
150g Scamorza, provolone or other medium aged flavourful cheese
Grated pecorino
To taste Salt and pepper

For the side sauce

400g Peeled tomatoes
1 Small white onion
1 Clove of garlic
To taste Salt
EVOO as necessary
1/2 bunch Basil leaves

Method

Step 1

Dice ham & cheese into 1 cm cubes.

Step 2

In a large bowl, beat eggs with 2 tbsp pecorino, season.

Step 3

Add cold cooked spaghetti & mix well.

Step 4

Fold in ham & cheese.

Step 5

Transfer to a baking dish, press down evenly.

Step 6

Sprinkle extra pecorino on top.

Step 7

Bake at 180°C for ~25 min (ventilated oven).

Step 8

Cool slightly, cut into slices.

Step 9

Top with tomato sauce & fresh basil leaves.

Tip

Make it your own—add sautéed mushrooms, peas, or caramelized onions for extra flavor!
