BARILLA PENNE WITH BASILICO SAUCE, TUNA AND LEMON GARLIC PANGRATTATO

Ingredients

Serves 4

1 pack Barilla Penne
2 jars Barilla Basilico sauce
370g canned tuna, drained
1 cup sourdough breadcrumbs
2 tsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 garlic cloves, crushed
2 tsp finely crushed parsley
2 tsp finely crushed basil
1 lemon rind, grated
Pepper to taste
Rock salt for pasta water

Method

Step 1

In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook Barilla Penne for around 11 minutes or just al dente.

Step 2

To make the pangrattato - Heat a frying pan over medium heat. Add oil, breadcrumbs and garlic and cook, stirring, for 5 minutes or until golden brown and toasted. Stir in lemon and herbs and season to taste with sea salt and freshly ground pepper. Set aside.

Step 3

Drain pasta and return to saucepan. Stir in Barilla Basilico Sauce and drained tuna. Season to taste and heat through.

Step 4

Spoon into serving bowls and sprinkle with pangrattato and serve.
